Marc Desrochers
1949-2023
Marc Desrochers, the visionary behind L’Avenue Team, was born in 1949 in Montreal. Growing up in a close-knit family, Desrochers developed a deep appreciation for the importance of family values and financial security from an early age. He attended local schools in Montreal, where his aptitude for numbers and analytical thinking began to shine.
A Lifelong Commitment to Financial Merit
Desrochers pursued his passion for finance at McGill University, majoring in Economics. He graduated with honours, driven by a desire to understand the complexities of the financial world and help others navigate it. Desrochers began his career at the Royal Trust Company in 1972. This role shaped his understanding of banking, finance and wealth management. He often spoke fondly of the mentors and colleagues who influenced his early career and the essential lessons he learned.
His dedication to mastering the intricacies of wealth management, estate planning and tax advisory set him apart in the industry. Over the years, he built a reputation for his unwavering integrity, strategic acumen and personalised approach to financial management.
Founding L’Avenue Team
In 2022, Desrochers realised his dream of creating a family office prioritising high-net-worth families’ unique needs and goals. L’Avenue Team was born from his vision to offer comprehensive, tailor-made financial services that ensure long-term prosperity and legacy for his clients. Desrochers poured his heart and soul into building a company that genuinely cares for its clients like family.

Marc Desrochers’s untimely passing in 2023 was a profound loss to all who knew and loved him. His warmth, wisdom and generosity touched the lives of many. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit continues to inspire and guide L’Avenue Team. We cherish his memory and honour his legacy by upholding the high standards he set and continuing to serve our clients with the same dedication and care that Marc exemplified.
